Intro Paragraph
As a member of the wider CEE region team spread across seven markets, the ideal candidate will be responsible to position ib vogt as a supplier of choice for green electricity as well as financial instruments securing energy prices in the form of virtual PPAs to utilities/traders and commercial and industrial customers (C&I) in the CEE markets. The preferred candidate has professional experience in energy procurement and a comprehensive understanding of power markets, offtake-structures and of the project development process. The candidate will work closely with the wider CEE team incl. senior staff and lead the process in PPA origination, structuring and modelling, preparation, negotiation and analysis of PPA term sheets and contracts.
Your Job
  • Source, structure and negotiate PPAs to meet the CEE region’s growing pipeline of advanced projects
  • Work to position ib vogt as a supplier of choice for green electricity as well as financial instruments securing energy prices in the form of virtual PPAs to utilities/traders and commercial and industrial customers (C&I) in the CEE markets
  • Manage sales pipeline and customer relationship management of utilities/traders and C&I customers
  • Coordinate with project finance, project development, project management and technical teams to ensure contracts are aligned with the project development profile (schedule, cost, risk etc.)
  • Identify, help lead negotiation and close bankable PPAs
  • Refine and innovate contractual PPA framework with the wider CEE team to fit the CEE model
  • Manage PPA tenders, negotiate with potential off-takers and work towards the conclusion of a PPA deal
  • Continuously expand the network of potential off-takers and agree key parameters of future power purchase agreements (including virtual power purchase agreements) at an early stage
Your profile
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in energy procurement
  • Track record of successfully closed offtake-agreements
  • Experience and familiarity with structured project finance and the sensitivities of equity and debt providers related to the respective terms of the PPA
  • Strong communication skills, able to deal with business owners, regulatory bodies & financial institutions
  • Strong negotiating and problem solving skills
  • Solid technical acumen for or existing knowledge of PV-technology, project development, construction, operation, maintenance and performance
  • Intercultural competence and team-player
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Languages: English (native speaker or excellent command) mandatory
