Manager – Business Development (Solar) (m/f/d)

Purpose/ Profile Summary:
To generate Enquiries, collections and servicing of medium to larger scale ground mounted solar projects in Maharashtra for Captive & Group Captive Business in State of Maharashtra
Roles & Responsibilities:
Performs following business development functions including but not limited to:
- Prospecting/ identifying, selecting and acquiring potential power consumers in the state of Maharashtra for Group Captive PPAs or Captive Investments
- Develop suitable set of channel partners for fast conversion of potential clients to Clients
- Preparing offers/ term sheets/ LOIs, negotiating and closing orders and collect receivables
- Timely preparation and presentation of MIS to management
- Work with HQ team to ensure that timelines for project finalization and commissioning as agreed with customers and senior management are always met
- Support HQ and clients in preparing various applications, submission and getting permits from various Govt. authorities
- Travel various cities in MH (Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Nashik etc.) for business development.
- Develop Relationship building with customers, channel partners, etc.
- Identify the customer needs and accordingly offer the solution
- Regular meetings with potential customers.
- Coordinate and conduct site visits with customers.
- Planning and preparing the presentations, financial models, different business models, etc.
- Prepare Proposals, Contracts and execute the same with customers.
- Negotiation and Close orders.
- Coordinate with banks to help customer in getting funding for their project.
- Coordinate the end-to-end process of project execution and communicate the same with customers.
- Retain existing customers and get maximum business from them.
- Explain, resolve any/all technical/commercial queries of customer related to project.
- Explain and assure the proper monthly bill adjustments.
- Keep records of cash flows of every project and reconcile the accounts
Qualification and Educational Requirements
- 7+ year experience in techno commercial B2B sales in Solar Industry.
- Strong understanding of group captive PPAs, Open Access regulations, Power Markets in Indian, Solar Parks in the State of Maharashtra
- Prior experience in handling large-scale projects and key account management
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering /MBA from Institute of repute
